Bio
....> J- Tripz, born John Henry Hudson III in Wilmington Delaware, moved to San Jose California at the age of 9 months, and then to Freeport, Grand Bahamas in the Bahama Islands. It was there that he was first introduced to Hip Hop music as a teen and started writing rhymes. In the Bahamas I really got into Reggae and was schooled in island life by the old school Rastas. These island influences would eventually surface in J.s flow style, mic skills and musical tastes that are uniquely J.Tripz. Back in the Bay Area, J. graduated from Leland High School in San Jose CA. Fresh out of High School, on the streets, and in the mix with the notorious San Jose street click, "The N.C.P.", J. decided to turn his energy to Hip Hop. As J puts it, We was wild, friends were dyin and getting locked up, shit was just crazy man. It was time to make a move and focus on my music. Influenced by many artists of the 90s like Aceyalone, Mikah 9 and the Freestyle Fellowship clan, Eazy-E, Snoop, DJ Quick, Busta Rhymes, and ODB, J Tripz rocked parties and clubs throughout Northern California and the Bay Area through much the mid 90s. As per the script, again J felt ready for a change of scenery, I was done with the Bay for a minute. I had friends and family in Vegas and dug the nightlife. I needed to re group. So with that, J. moved to Las Vegas and a brief hiatus from persuing HipHop as a career. After several years of Vegas Life, J relocated back to Southern California and hooked up with independent Hip Hop label Keep it Crackin Records. KIC gave me an opportunity to get on the mic and get some shit off my chest. It made me realize just how much I missed Hip Hop as an art form In late 2003 J decided to venture out on his own. A chance meeting led to an introduction to independent L.A. producer Big Mike, and 3 Deep Records Hip Hop Artist PoBaby. While collaborating with Big Mike, and the 3 Deep Family, J. Tripz and this new team realized that they had magic in the studio and an intense creative connection that was undeniable. J appears as a Featured Side Artist on PoBabys solo debut CD Act Like You Know Me released in 2004, and along with fellow rappers Doc Slim and J Luv, recorded and independently released the Bonafyde Heavyweightsdebut CD Relentless in the summer of 2004. With his solo debut CD Chicken Wingz, Gritz & Spitz (Summer 2005), J-Tripzs energetic and aggressive lyrical style bring you an amazing mixture of entertaining word play, and cultured content. Well traveled, (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bahamas, Italy, and the US) and street savvy, J.Tripz voice is undeniable. His vision is as unique, as his mind is deep, and as his voice is loud. A big man with a big heart, and a laugh thats intoxicating, J loves to get wild on the microphone and you never know what to expect. J-Ttripz is the epitome of humorous truth and hip-hop culture. With a laid back track and a wild flow, J is at his best with no strings attached, and zero censorship. Expect the unexpected. With so many targets and social subject matter, every verse is something new, and always entertaining. Hollywood, Ca - With 14 years of rapping accredited for, since debuting on Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" album, Tha Dogg Pound certainly doesn't need an introduction. Get ready to witness one of the strongest comebacks in Gangsta Rap history with the introduction of DP Next Generation. Now focusing on a positive future for the West Coast, these Mutli-Platinum artists are back again, bringing another generation with them, the winners of the contest "DPGC Idol" held by Daz, Kurupt, and Arnold White. Remember, these DP Next Generation rap cats came strong with tracks like "Still Blazin'" which played in major markets like Atlanta, Dallas, Oklahoma City, and up and down the West Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles. They have tracks produced by Nitti, a producer with massive hit singles like "It's Goin' Down" by Young Joc. They have a sonic sound with a boom to boost the group's image with songs by Nitti like "Tapp Out" and "Gangsta Rap Will Never Die." The album is bound to be a solid, well-produced project. With the mixed styles of DP Next Generation, rest assured the album will graciously put the gutter in your ear with the release of their summer album "Idolized." The rap game continues to unfold the rebirth of the Dogg Pound Next Generation. The DP Idol contest has moved from the realm of competition to being repositioned. This is a phase of being "idolized" by others. The group is on a steady course and there's been a lot of grinding to get the DP Next Generation name out there. The group has hit the scene in Las Vegas and Atlanta to pre-promote and record for the upcoming album. The members (Meko aka Mr. Murder, Dangerous Rob, Montana, 45, J-Tripz, and Chaotic,) come from different corners of the continental US with their own unique experiences and tales from the hood. Like the native tribes of the badlands, this ensemble proves to be the grimiest evolution of a rap group to raise up off the block. These six members are collectively making moves to get their names in the annals of rap history. Check them out at on the web by visiting them at www.myspace.com/dpnextgeneration. Make sure to check out the big homie, Snoop Dogg, on E! in the hit TV Series, Father Hood. Snoop Dogg's album, Ego Trippin', will be released on March 11, 2008. Daz Dillinger's much anticipated album, Only on the Leftside, is slated to release this Spring/Summer 2008.
