*Note: the genres don't really fit Cem's music. He can -and does- perform jazz, blues, rock, electronica, acappella, folk, classical...* Born in 1980 in Edirne, Turkey, to parents of Yugoslavian origin, vocal virtuoso Cem Adrian has always dreamt of becoming a musician, and while working for a radio station, he recorded more than 250 own songs. His extraordinary voice was discovered by world famous pianist Fazil Say, who listened to one of his demos and immediately wanted to meet him. Cem's vocal cords are three times the length of an average person, which means he usually sings a wide range, 4.5 octaves (though, he is physically able to reach 7 octaves) from bass to soprano, and use his voice as any musical instrument. He recorded his a-cappella song "Ask bu gece sehri terk etti" (Love left the town tonight) from 134 channels, and all voices in the song are sung by him - as he said he was forced to imitate the musical instruments with his voice when recording, as he had no musical equipment at that time. Cem Adrian's fourth album, named "Emir" (Order) was published in December 2008.
