When we say excessive pain we're not talking about how our girlfriend dumped us or how we lost our little puppy. We're talking about REAL pain. We're talking about the kind of pain that happens when the nicest person in the world who has everything going for them has something drastic happen in their life, so drastic it changes everything. We're talking about the kind of pain you might experience if you were a victim or witness of a terrible crime. We're talking the kind of pain people young and old in 3rd world countries experience every day; The kind of pain that most of us American's can't even fathom as being possible. We don't worship the devil and we condemn those that do. The reason our music is hard, harsh, explicit and horrific is because life isn't all rainbows and unicorns. We want people to understand that before you start bitching, whining and complaining about how hard your life is; take a step back and really think about how hard it could be. All of us experience rough times, all of us have our ups and downs, but only some of us take them without grudge.
