Bio
Hey Im Sean Alire. Im a college student studying for Art Education and Music Theory. I love music, and art. Art is music, and the way I have always viewed music in that way: Art is a way to express your inner feelings, desires, passions, and true emotions; music is art thus music is an expression of what language cannot communicate. Anyways, I remember getting my first guitar at the age of 13, freshman year of high school. I started using tabs online, and forums on ultimate-guitar.com to get me going. After two years I became in a slump, thus I decided get lessons. So I took 3 months of lessons from a private teacher, 2 years of high school theory and all the mean while I was in choir singing and playing guitar. I have just recently started playing the piano and drums. I feel that I can play any instrument at this point (who can't? anyone can play once they learn the theory behind it...) Genre-wise, I have had a rollercoaster. At first I loved Zeppelin, Hendrix, The Who and many more, and still do. Then I got into incubus and the Chili Peppers. Then I went back to Zeppelin, but also picked up a liking for Cream, The Greatful Dead, and Santana. Then I really got into KoRn, Killswitch Engage, Evergreen Terrace, A7x. Then somehow I was introduced to neoclassical: Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Petrucci, Nicolo Paganini (yes he is a violinist, but I transpose several of his capriccios). Now im into many things, mainly Steve Vai, Steve Kimmock, some old rap like Snoop Dogg, and newer rap like tech n9ne, jazz artists such as Guthrie Govan, jam bands like The Band, and Guess Who, America, and piano stuff like Gary Jules, Queen, Mozart and many many many many more. I.E. ON RECORDINGS: So I have been playing for 5 years, all my stuff is done on garageband, and I did EVERYTHING by myself.
