Hi,my name is Mike.I began fooling around with creating music back in 1988 after my neighbor,Allan,who himself played the french horn professionally,gave me one of the most primitive electronic keyboards around;a Casio C-60 which provided a choice of 4 rhythms and 5 voices [piano,electric piano,clarinet,oboe,organ]. So began my journey of improvisation and experimentation in the creation of music.Unaware,in the begining,that music could be recorded straight from the keyboard's line out jack to cassette tape,my first recordings were achieved by me rigging two microphones to dangle inches above the keyboards left and right speakers,which produced the use of several unique instruments including a can of nails,wooden block,and the majestic tones of a saucepan lid. Now I create my music using a Casio CTK-638 which has 100 rhythms and over 200 voices.Some of the music contained here also includes tracks made using several other Casio and Yamaha keyboards.
