Bio

I have extensive experience within the music industry; as a professional musician, stage manager, sound engineer, producer and radio presenter. I also hold a BSC in Music Production and Technology from Limerick Institute of Technology. Prior to graduating, I founded the LIT Music Society and was subsequently elected president. Since graduation I have spent 9 months in Toronto, where I gained experience as a stage manager for the NXNE festival which involved working with bands such as Wintersleep, Burning Brides, Broken Social Scene and The Black Lips. After moving to London in 2009 I have been actively gigging and have supported bands such as Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Alice Gold, Jessie Sykes (Whiskeytown) and Wallis Bird. I have also built my own personal studio (equipment and software listed below) which has enabled me to self produce and release an E.P. which has received national airplay in both Turkey and Ireland as well as London\'s Metro Music. I also spent one month stage managing a regular night at the Comedy Tree in Putney and have also shadowed the stage management and sound department at the Cork Opera House. For the last year I have been teaching private guitar, vocal, piano and durm lessons, as well as music in three different primary schools. This has developed my confidence, organisational and communication skills as well as my patience. However, my real passion is music performance, production and sound engineering, so I am looking for further opportunities to develop my skills and experience in this area.
