Bio
Influenced by: Jazz, soul, folk, r’n’b, blues, rock. Born in Tours, France, and raised in Montreal, Pamela’s love for music began at the tender age of 5. By 7 year old, she picked up the cello, playing difficult pieces well beyond her age and continued to play for 7 years, participating in numerous live concerts and string orchestras. Her passion for singing led her to sing in school choirs, yearly school events, Broadway camp and family events. By 14, she was writing producing and composing music, songs and beats on her home computer. At 17, she worked and recorded extensively in a studio for a year, working on a pop CD. That year provided great experience and growth leading her to pick up the acoustic guitar and piano, and evolving into a more mature musical style, with more jazz and folk influences. Artists such as Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Alicia Keys, Theloneous Monk, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin were great influences on her. Having performed Montreal night clubs, she frequently attends open mike nights, and performs as a singer around Montreal with jazz bands such Roger Walls and the One Two Trio. Her passion for music has helped her excel in her music studies at school, including music theory, ear training and music history (jazz, renaissance, Gregorian, modern, classical, world music, rock and roll) I wrote, composed and produced "CRAZY" , "Fool" , "Peace of mind", and "So Good" Check out my Myspace page: [link="http://www.myspace.com/pamelabrott"] http://www.myspace.com/pamelabrott [/link]
