Bio
The project was formed back in December 2004, by the singer Julia Kay, who is also involved in the Progressive Metal band LuxETErnA. Julia Kay has decided to organize her own solo project in collaboration with other two musicians Yury Zlokazov and Stas Berdnikov. Afterwards, recordings had been done for the songs 'At Your Home', 'Savin Rain', 'Muse', 'Angel Teardrops'' (for LuxETErnA), and last but not least,'Christmas Night', a song that was aimed to be broadcast locally. Hailing from the Urals (Russia), Julia Kay started singing back in 1988 at the age of 7 and her very first performances appeared at her school. Julia took her hobby seriously and continued performing as a soloist in various bars and restaurants with session musicians in her town. Afterwards, given her ambitions, Julia dedicated her time and energy to boost her vocal quality intensively and this turned into reality after being directed by a qualified vocal and music tutor Stanislav Berdnikov, who helped Julia to discover and master her vocal range and potentiality according to both style and musical genres. From a simple hobby, this has turned into ambition and profession, and the real startup took place back in 2001 when she started to sing with two full line-up bands under the guise of Lux Eterna (Progressive Symphonic Metal) and Svetlojar (Progressive Folk Metal). A year after, Julia in collaboration with Yury Zlokazov and Stanislav Berdnikov (both from Lux Eterna) started the solo project under her own name Julia Kay (Kay comes from the letter her real surname starts with). Following their intensive work, they recorded several songs including the two well acclaimed ones 'Angel Teardrops' (originally made for the 2nd Lux Eterna album 'Chips Of Mind') and 'Christmas Night', a song aimed for local broadcasting via major radio stations in Russia. Following that moment, her project left a remarkable impact upon the audience and this resulted in nothing but praises due to its quality and the amazing vocal performance by the young talented singer. Shortly afterwards, Julia gave several concerts with her fellow musicians; featuring both local and foreign performers such as the known Pop band Bad Boys Blue among others. This was a remarkable aspect for the singer as a push ahead in her career. In August 2007 Julia recorded two more songs 'Baby Blues' and 'Spirit Of Moonlight Sax' in collaboration with a singer/songwriter and arranger Alexander Kulaev and an extremely talented blind pianist Rafil Mineev, who at different times used to perform with such great musicians as Ray Charles, Deborah Brown and Oleg Lundstrem Jazz Orchestra.
