Bolus burst out in the Year 2000 , right after the collapse of the 20th century, right at the start of the fresh millenium, in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA, then set about writing their debut E.P “Mechanoid Vocation”, which was recorded in 2002 by the legendary Jeff Lovejoy, and mastered at 301 studios in Sydney. It was subsequently released in 2002 to a great response and the fellas spent the next 2 years doing shows around the South East Corner, honing their live skills to a razor point. Debut 8 track EP "Mechaniod Vocation" is a tasty blend of Rock, metal and smart hip-hop, managing to avoid many of the cliché hazards these genres have to offer- KERRANG MAGAZINE .. While elements comes from as far as a field as Cypress Hill to extreme hard rock. Stylish deck work blending with heavy bass driven grooves under textural guitars and thundering skins invoke sonic atmospheres not totally dissimilar to monsters such as Zeni Gever and Tool. -RAVE MAGAZINE- In 2006 the boys headed into Blackbox Recording Studios in Albion, Brisbane to lay down the self-produced mini Album, "Sonic Schematics", once again engineered by the one and only Jeff Lovejoy and Mastered by Jack the Bear at Deluxe Mastering Studios in Melbourne, due for release MAY 2007. Consisting of 9 songs, “Sonic Schematics” is a blend of Hard Rock, Metal, Groove, Funk and Hardcore Rap, some refreshing true Aussie grit. To kick off their latest release "Sonic Schematics", which will be in all good record stores in May 2007, and available nationally thru MGM Distribution, cat no. PSI-011. BOLUS will be doing a tour of Launches up and down the East Coast of Australia with dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Byron Bay and Melbourne.
