ThisIsWar have an individuality that the UK music scene has been missing for some time and have been described as a cross between A Perfect Circle and Alice In Chains. Their sound ebbs and flows between gentle but brooding atmospherics and crashing rock soundscapes – a collision of intense melodic structures and driving rhythms. From the outset, ThisIsWar made a conscious decision to blend melody and power in their own unique style. However, it is the live show which best conveys the true reason for the existence of ThisIsWar – this is where they are in their element. Front man Roy Anthony Brown has a huge voice and an undeniable charisma, while the band has a stage presence that most can only dream about. Having played in venues such as The Clapham Grand, Hard Rock Café, and Camden Underworld, ThisIsWar have caused quite a stir and have quickly built up an impressive and loyal fan base. Due to the success of their self-titled demo, ThisIsWar are currently writing and recording new material that will be released in late 2007.
