Liverpool based three pieced folk rock band with a blues vocal influence and a hint of indie. Sonny Kaye were concieved during a work related relationship. The band was born in April 2007 with the introduction of Kevin Keenan and Sean Holland. Kevin havin accumilated a catalogue of original material over a period of six years whilst suffering from mental health problems. This combined with the musical experience that Sean could offer and Jacque on backing vocals culminates an interesting and effective sound. With the band project in it's infancy they are at the moment looking to secure a bass player who can possibly play the drums so that a live set can be structured to premote the demo album which will soon be completed. The inspiration for Kevin certainly being his father who was in a band that supported the Beatles at Widnes Queens Hall. The band were called Sonny Kaye and the Reds as that is were our band name originates from. But sadly on the 19th of April 1994 Kevins father passed away at the age of 56 which spurned Kevin on to play the guitar and other instruments.
