Bio
[color="blue"]I'm Wendy Risoli. I'm originally from Rocky Mountain House Alberta Canada. I moved to San Antonio Texas in 2004 to get married and live with my husband. As a little girl, I took some piano lessons with Val Lineham. I'd often perform in festivals, at school in plays, choirs. I once played drums to Little Drummer Girl in the schools christmas concert. I sang in the school choir, would always perfrom for family and friends. In the car to the radio, in the family living room. Wherever there was a chance to sing and dance, there I was. I even had the chance to take some guitar lessons from Don Pope, again with Frances Jones whome I met in college. I was active in school activities. When I grew up, I decided I liked country music, after seeing Coal Miners Daughter the Loretta Lynn story. I began singing with bands whenever there were jam sessions, anything. I had the chance to sing for the Red Deer College School of Music program, studied voice. After that, I recorded Don't Toss Us Away by Patty Loveless in a mall studio in West Edmonton Mall. I got to meet some bands that had become famous. I met Cissie Lynn Loretta's Daughter, Apple Jack, other bands. I stopped singing for a few years, but kept writing. My parents gave me a new guitar, I began writing songs in the 1990's. I wrote Now and Forever, I'm Ready. 2008-9 I wrote Unbound, Lift Up My Eyes, Stranded, Tracey's Got A Brand New Car, others. In 1998, I had the opportunity to record 2 of my originals for Rockpile Production. I then began singing in spanish with Selena being my biggest guide there. I sang spanish at rodeos, festivals. I also sang some folk music as well. It was fun. I'm influenced by Sarah MaLachlan, other great female music makers. In 2001, I recorded 4 christmas songs. I was singing rodeos and fairs, festivals in 2001-2. I never get tired of performing. After leaving my canadian home and my family and friends, I returned to country music with a pop twist. Now classic country. I now sing covers and originals. Just about anything. Performing for me has always been an outlet for anything going on in my life. I've been in talent contests in San Antonio, participated with Famecast, music nation, musictx, myspace, youtube, where I have videos as well. I'm also a member of Texas Music Coalition where I have many friends. Whatever I'm doing in my life, I hope I end up onstage somewhere, because onstage, I can be anything I want to be, I can be myself. Mar 18-19, 2008 I participated in Nashville Star. It was the most rewarding of my career. I'm glad I did it. As of 2010, I am singing classic country, doing well. Writing many new songs like Serious, Dirty Blond Hair, That'll Be The Day.
