ALL MUSIC HAS BEEN WRITTEN BY David Hagopian’s Biography David Hagopian is a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer born February 28, 1986 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At the suggestion of friend and band member’s mother, Dave took up Bass guitar in the summer of 2000. Shortly thereafter he joined a band called Exit 21 as it’s lead singer Bassist, which has since dissolved. However, during the five years of its existence Exit 21 played publicly on more than 60 occasions including night clubs, battle of the bands, and numerous public, community, and social events. Dave has also and continues to perform live at several open mic’s and coffee houses and continues to perform as a guest for many of his recording clients. More recently Dave has served as sound engineer for live acts at several of Boston’s finer pubs. In the last three years Dave has put together a modest sound recording studio where he has recorded his own music and that of several local musicians, bands, hip-hop artists and singers. Unable to interest Exit21 in many of his own compositions because of their interest in other styles of music, and conflicting personalitys Dave took it upon himself to learn other instruments in order to complete the songs he had written. He now plays keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica, and drums, along with his original instrument of choice, bass guitar, with varying degrees of proficiency. His music has been described as melodic rock/blues with an alternative edge. To date, Dave has written, arranged, performed, engineered, recorded, mixed, and produced all of the instrumentation associated with his original compositions. Dave loves this creative enterprise, it is a very difficult, detailed oriented, time consuming, and exhausting process. But David loves his work and will continue his work as he looks forward to working with other professional musicians and sound studio professionals as he prepares to introduce the more than forty songs he has written to the general public in a pursuit for a recording contract, manager, and team. David hopes that his devotion to his music will evolve into a great life long career as a professional musician and entertainer. Quotes: Having worked with Dave in the past I can see that his playing and song writing have come a long way". Always a pleasure to work with and always up for new ideas" Dave is persistent in trying to get the work in the studio correct. His vocals have improved ten fold, as a result of his hard work to me it has paid off. Dave also doesn't hesitate to ask questions about any matter involving recording, structure, arrangements, etc. He keeps an open mind and can and will adjust to some of the pressures that are natural in the studio. I worked producing some of Dave's early material in his band Exit 21 and it was a pleasure. It wasn't all business, there is fun and a lot of hard work and he came out shining. At that time he had a lot of responsibility and performed excellently at all the tasks before him. When I first met Dave he was very "green" as they say in the business. He has been educating himself on all aspects of the music from engineering to songwriting and above all, practice. It is wonderful to see he is getting it and forming new bonds in the industry. Dave is young and enthusiastic which is a major part of the game. -Jim Alger Professional musican President and Producer of Alger Mt Records. "David Hagopian stands out among the many musicians I have met. Every free moment available was spent on one of our demonstration keyboards picking out new songs, refining ideas, bouncing themes off me or his fellow associates." "I had the privilege to listen to many of David's compositions or productions. Even though I wouldn't consider myself an expert by any means, he was always interested in my opinion. He always left me with the impression that he would settle for nothing less than perfection and was -willing to do whatever it took to ensure each and every one of his recordings met his exacting standards." "I had many long conversations with David about his plans for building and operating his own recording studio as well as being a professional musician. If it was anyone else, I would have discounted the ideas as pipe dreams, but David was so thoroughly dedicated to making real his dreams that I felt like I was the recipient of a rare opportunity to meet a man with both the intelligence and drive to accomplish whatever he set out to do." - David Newlin
