F.J.Nascimento started singing before he left the womb… just kidding… he was actually just screaming then. FJ’s powerful voice met public ears the first time when he was eleven years old, solo-singing in a big church (without microphone). It was in that year when he started playing the guitar and composing his own songs. About three years later he was asked to do the support-act of a known artist (the school had organized the concert). He stood there alone on a huge stage with just his guitar, an amp and a microphone. Hundreds of pupils and teachers were listening to him singing Beatles-songs and some of his own composition. Later he founded his first band together with his cousin. They were covering popular songs only. Then Frank was looking for more challenge and became a member of a rock group who were playing their own compositions. He wrote the singing part and was the front man. With this group he won the second place in a rock-contest. It was a minor success – but still a success. To finance his musical gear he went back to covering songs in commercial bands with more gigs and more pay. But all the time he kept and still keeps writing his own songs and arranges, performs and records them (when he finds the time) with his home gear… …and whenever F.J.Nascimento is given the opportunity he goes out on stage singing his inside out…!
