When Scott Lewin found Simon Fuhrer(Bluebottle Kiss) in a park on a Sunday afternoon neitherof them expected to be conjuring up a melting pot of styles that would become The Tracks. But after a brief chat about music the pair would reconvene in the sleepy house on the stream on a rainy Sunday night. People all over this sleepy little town could hear the banging and bashing and the sound of something familiar but somehow different. "The Tracks" were born. Scott Lewin had unleashed his David Bowie in Kingstown style. This Style when fused with Simon's swiss/mexican drumming became the missing link they had always searched for, now they needed a bass player Neil Aitken was discovered by Scott some 7 years ago in a flat in Sydney that badly needed airing. A mutual friend had introduced them and Scott quickly realised that this guy would be somehow linked to his own musical journey. After many incarnations the pair would eventually find themselves staring at a small handsome swiss guy behind the drums and the fun would begin. Preparations begin for the 3 piece circus act begun and a moldy garage was found clinging on to a cliff face in Stanwell Park. The Garage door got rustier and The Tracks got better and after a water crisis, famine boom bust dust and rust they would emerge squinting at the deep blue ocean in front of them wondering what year it was. It is 2007 and there was talk of bigger things in the world where people dance to their rock, rock to their latino and swing to their funk somewhere in a place far far away. Or was it far away at all? A audience gathered before them on a Saturday night at the Beautiful Heritage Hotel and witnessed the missing link the three had always searched for. It was like the crowd wanted to absorb the music but they also had this strange desire to dance. Other places also experienced this, and soon the their star begun to rise. Such did their star rise that within months they would appear along side acts like Karma County and Matt Tonks who would also have them on board to support them. Twelve Months and countless gigs later The Tracks have finally finished their first EP entitled Diego and other tales. Now it is your turn to dance to their rock, rock to their latino and swing to their funk. Don't go through life wondering what is missing The Tracks will show you.
