www.jryanmusic.com J Ryan, or Ryan to his friends and family, and currently lives in Nepal with his wife Sonya and their 11 year old son, Will. Ryan first began singing at private parties in India from the age of 13. He picked up the guitar at the age of 17 and began to teach himself how to play. He moved to Muscat, Oman in 2000 where he sang his way through several contracts. Throughout this time, Ryan kept teaching himself how to play guitar by listening and watching guitarists like Yngwie Malmsteen and John Petrucci. He began to play professionally from 2003. He was the only musician to have been continuously offered contracts for 8 years in Oman. Most musicians are offered contracts for 3-6 months! During his last contract, customers came back week after week, month after month, year after year mainly to watch him play and listen to him sing. His wide range of covers impressed customers from around the world. He sings songs from America to ZZ Top and someone commented during one of his last shows "I wish the guys from Pink Floyd were here to see Ryan play The Wall. They would not believe it." This comment was made by someone who had seen and met Pink Floyd in the UK some years ago. Ryan decided to break away from contracts in order to focus on his own work as being tied to a contract in Oman was very restricting and did not allow any time to do anything else. He is now working on an album. All vocals, guitar and keyboard sounds you can hear on the tracks have been recorded and performed by Ryan.
