My first approach to music happened during my early childhood, due to the magic influence of my grandfather who was a composer, painter and writer. This was the reason that aroused my curiosity to keep learning and to start taking my first piano studies with his guide. This also lead me to enroll at Escuela de Bellas Artes de Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, for the next five years, where I had the honor to be tutored by Adolfo Mejía, a great Colombian composer. From this moment, the Piano has always been present in my life; although I studied business administration, which I later emphasized completing an MBA at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. While I was working in the business area, I always reserved a special moment to listen to classical music and to Caribbean music, specially Cuban, that has had a great influence in the way that I compose, arrange and interpret my music. Since 1995, my attention has been centered in aspects that have to do exclusively with music along with my Piano Bar. I was also a member and assistant director of Choral Cartagena de Indias. As a matter of fact, I recorded five compact discs ( bolero and cuban music), I have been special guest for various concerts and music festivals, not only in Colombia, but also in Panamá,Cuba and United States. It was my honor to be the director, interpreter (piano and voice), and arranger of the last musical production of Master Carlos Eleta Almarán, famous composer from My career as a musician has been officially recognized by the Colombian Government, awarding the medal of “Pedro Romero to the Artistic Merit” (2001), and the “Distinction as the Outstanding Artist of the Year” (2003). As a soloist pianist and or as piano trio latin jazz, I have had performances at Paul Sharp Concert Hall and the Pitman Hall of the University of Oklahoma (Norman City campus), The Norman Public Library, The Red Piano Bar of Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City (from 2007 to 2010), Unity Church of Norman, Oklahoma, among others.Panamá, acclaimed world wide for his famous bolero “”Historia de un Amor”.
