Bio

The band was formed mid-year in 2006. Initially formed by Rem, Dane and Anto, nothing was really planned out and all of them just had a bunch of songs, so they decided to “jam” and play around with each other’s compositions. When more and more originals popped out of these jams, they started to take it even more seriously and looked for a vocalist. Enter Myke Gutierrez. The band auditioned several vocalists, but in the end picked her. Last to join the group was David Reyes. He was asked by Dane if he was interested in joining the band. With no hesitation, Dave willfully accepted the invitation. And so, Gaijem (Gaiyem) was born!!! Yay!!!! The band’s sound probably resembles more of the band Tool and A Perfect Circle. Their 5 originals would probably prove this. Heavily driven by Dane Cuna’s drumming, we can even classify the band under tribal metal. Ye!!! Supported mainly by Rem’s unorthodox bass playing, Anto’s skillfull riffing, Dave’s well placed rhythming and Myke’s Ambient singing.
