DreamWeaver Music was started up in 1989 in order to distribute the relaxation tracks created by Bill Stuart Cottingham during his professional career in the National Health Service. Before qualifying as a Health Care Professional, Bill, a former pianist with bandleader Sonny Rose, studied arranging under Graham Dally. He went on to form his own band, which featured many of his own compositions and arrangements. For his first production venture, he combined his composing and arranging skills with recordings of wind, waves and bird calls to create "The Homeland Collection". By utilising high-tech, computerised studio equipment, he set his music to blend with the relaxing sounds of nature. These relaxation tracks to which was later added a spoken relaxation tutorial; "The Easy Way To Relaxation" have been used extensively by health care professionals such as McMillan Nurses, Physiotherapists, Reflexologists and Hypno-therapists and were supplied free of charge to Cancer Link.
