NOTE: Please write me at [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] . THANKS, and I do hope to hear from anyone interested in my music. ========================= My name is Theresa Brunette, and I am the only daughter of Joseph and Julia Brunette of Farmington, Minnesota. My parents are now divorced. I have three older brothers, and many aunts and uncles, as well as cousins. My grandmother on my dad's side was from a huge family of thirteen. My father was the eldest. When I was eight my family, all the relations, and even us kids formed a band, The Singing Brunettes, where we sang weekly at a local church. From that moment on I KNEW that I wanted to make music my LIFE! I am a singer/songwriter/musician, and have been writing music since I was sixteen. I play piano, and also a bit of guitar. I am a single mother of a twenty-two year old son. He's an awesome young man, of which I am very proud of him. Matthew, like his mother, also writes his own music, and is quite the character, always keeps me laughing with his warm and wonderful sense-of-humor. Two of the first songs I ever wrote were: "Jim's Song" about a guy I once had a huge crush on. A first love is always special, and brings out emotions that don't surface until discovering that 'special someone.' For me, he was Jim. Another of my first songs I'd written was "Leave Me Now." Again, more heartache over a lost love. I have been in many bands throughout my lifetime. The most recent was, Guestar, a Twin Cities local and well liked five-piece, performing a wide variety of classic rock, speckled with several of our own hometown favorites: Can't Find My Way Home, Karma, We're Going Down, and a tribute to our hometown, aptly named, Farmington. Our band, consisting of two of my brothers, Tony and Pat Brunette, myself, and two other local musicians, broke up in 2002. We performed all over Minnesota, and also select cities in Wisconsin. Originally, I'd moved away from Farmington, Minnesota in 1981, and eventually found my way to Southern California, the music capital of the world. I was accepted to play a role in a HBO soap opera in 1987, but once discovering they wanted the female actors to do topless scenes, my acting career took a back-seat. At the time my son was two, and I refused to scratch my values, and remained a fine example to my only child. All the while I continued joining various bands. Eventually, I made my way to Nevada, where I attended Sierra Nevada College- a private four-year college in Incline Village, Nevada. While living in Nevada I joined several bands, one of the most well-liked was "Nevada Band." While in college I majored in "Music," and I graduated Cum Laude, and also obtained my Nevada teaching credential. While attending college I was in several Tahoe Repertory Theatrical plays, landing the leading roles in two: Graceland, and Asleep at the Wind. In the audience at one of my performances, while performing at the King's Beach Community Center, actor, Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek was in attendance. I was thrilled to discover that Nimoy had reviewed my performance, and told the director how spectacular of a job he felt I'd done. That was quite a complement coming from such a distinguished and known actor. Soon, thereafter, I began working as an elementary music band and choir teacher. My students all adored me. This was the same time that Princess Diana had passed away in 1997. Since I was a huge admirer of Diana, I wrote the ballad, Beautiful Princess. One of my students, a fifth grade girl told me she loved the song, and it was the best song she'd ever heard, and explained how much she, too, adored Diana. I figured if a child could see its potential, I was also certain that adults, alike, would also find it a well-done ballad. Recently I discovered what I'd believed about the song to be true. Not only did my fifth graders love the song, but after only being on 'You Tube' recently for not quite two weeks, the song obtained over 1000 hits, and the song continues to get more every day. It is true, Diana is as famous in death as she was in life. She was forever a favorite princess, even of the famous: bands like Duran Duran, who recently played for her special BBC concert, arranged by Diana's sons, William and Harry, Concert For Diana, shown locally on VH1. My Diana tribute has been very much enjoyed; I've received various e-mails from fans in the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, and the likes, so I do understand that Diana is still very much a beloved princess, even after having been deceased for nearly ten years. I have heard that there are several movies presently in production pertaining to Diana's life. I'm hoping my ballad can be passed to the right hands in order to help it be heard by the masses. Princess Diana truly was a beautiful princess. Here are other samples of my music. Some are in demo form, and, others, have been professionally recorded, and engineered. My brother, Tony Brunette, and I recorded a professional Christian rock CD, "Resurrected Souls, This Time We'll Live Forever," containing ten tracks. We have it professionally packaged, but have yet to have it professionally marketed. We are still looking to get it into proper distribution. All of my/our music has been copyrighted.
