THE STORY SO FAR. In 2001 I met a guy called Kurt Bainbridge.The first thing that went through my mind is that he had huge potential as a professional singer/performer. He was always singing at work and had quite a reputation as having a great voice. Myself, well I had only just decided to start learning guitar, and at that time was never off it. Even in the middle of the night. Hence I improved quite rapidly. Kurt and myself decided to get together and start making some music. All covers, Oasis, Paul Weller, George Michael. One evening whilst pondering and playing with chords a song called ‘Every Single Minute’ was born. I had written my first song. Kurt was impressed, and from that moment, we were to rehearse only our own music. We called ourselves ‘Opaque’. We’ve since had radio airplay, a tv spot. Local gigs and even a publishing and recording contract. The latter, unfortunately was thwarted.No reason given. After the initial excitement, came immediate despair and a sabatical for a few months. What do you do in those situations? Kurt and myself are now back working hard on some new tracks together, and also myself as a solo.
