[link="URL"]Krishna Lawrence, known to the public as “Dada” was born on the 12th of July 1986, everyday giving thanks to the almighty God and his mother Lena Blaize for 9 Months Of Pain she had to endure to bring him forth into this world. Krishna “Dada” Lawrence started music at the tender age of 12. He grew up around artist like Kendel “Loosin” Knight, Kerry “Syco Fury” Severin, Nigel “Jonny Blaze” Anthony, Steven “Bofa” Lander. They all formulated the popular dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop, Bouyon group “Bushtown Clan” who gave him the motivation to dig deeper into the music. According to his mother, Krishna’s biggest dream was to be a musician. She stated that he would come home from school, sometimes not do his homework and play music. At age 15 Dada started off making beats on drum machines, keyboards but mainly on computers by using Fruity loops better known as FL Studio. In that, his mentors in production were Cornel “Fingers” Phillip, the lead keyboardist and one of the founding members of the popular WCK band, Dr. Dre, the greatest hip hop producer of all time and Timbaland, the most interesting producer. After a while in Dada’s journey in music he particularly became interested in being a Dj where he got good at it and started doing house parties. At the tender age of 18 he joined the first, second and third Annual Heineken Dj Competition where he gained enormous respect as a dj but he wasn’t giving djaying his all and everything. It seemed his heart was somewhere else in the music. So he went back into production deeper and found out that he has found his calling in his journey in music and that is to be a producer. Since then he has worked and created hits in his country. He worked with the Triple Kay International where he produced songs such as; All out, Do you Believe, and Doh Blow My High. He also co produced the Party mix called The After Dust on the Triple Kay 2006 album “All Out”. He then brought out a group called Nursery Krew Inc. who took Dominica by storm. They had songs such as Peanuts, Calaloo, Don’t F**k Around (Dancehall), all songs produced by Dada. Nursery rise and became the hottest group faster than any other group in the country ever. Dada then proceeded to explore his musical capabilities where he experimented and tried out different genres of music such as Rock, Pop, R&B, Soca, Hip Hop, Jazz. In 2006 he was given the title #1 producer in the country cause every thing that he produced was “hot”. Being in the spotlight and in that position everybody wants to know what he’s going to do next. Is he going to fall off or continue on his interesting track of making hits. In 2007 he worked with Benji (lead vocalist for the Triple Kay band also an upcoming soca artist) to create his soca monarch competition song “That’s the way to go” which he came 2nd place with due to the controversial results. Dada gained a lot of respect from foreigners and locals for the production of such a song. Dada then continued on his track by creating the hit song “Overthrow” by the Triple Kay International which won road march for the real mass 2007 carnival. He then produced another hit song for the Triple Kay International called Pressure. Dada gained a lot more respect from veteran musicians in Dominica for being so young and so skilled. He produced over 5 songs in the Triple Kay International’s new album Pressure. Dada next plan in the music is to get to work and formulate a chemistry with different musicians in different types of music for example; Machel Montano in soca music, Timbaland in pop music etc. FOR MORE INFORMATION CHECK OUT: www.iriescene.com or http://www.myspace.com/d_muzic_international[/link]
