I grew up in Amarillo Texas, and started lessons on guitar around the age of 12 with Jennie Foster. My first guitar was a Marqist. The strings were so high I could have used it like a bow to shoot arrows with lol... My second guitar was much better- an orginal 1970 Fender Telecaster thinline, in natural coat, and I wish now id had the sense then to keep it. Following the 40+ years of playing music, and many good friends made along the way on and off the stage, I gotta say life's been a great ride but Denny's still has a pretty weird crowd at 3 in the morning ; ). Add in lots of family encouragement and support to "just go play", it just dont get much better than that. Hey im just an old country blues rock guitar player that enjoys playing music with a good group of guys and recording when ever I get a chance to. I might add, that an invite to play Summer Rodeo dances are the very best things in life- why?. Man the food is outta this world, and the crowds are fantastic! Ive also opened shows for Ricochet, and Wade Hayes... My big influences were and still are CCR, Uncle Ted, Gary Moore, Gibbons, Clapton, Hendrix, SRV and Chuck Berry. I want to thank everyone for taking the time and listening to my lifes work in progress... Best of luck to you... [link="http://pages.suddenlink.net/mikes_music"] Visit My other site too! [/link]
