Chad Lodge Bio Chad William Lodge born July 30, 1980 in Edmonton, AB. In 1993 Chad and his family Jim lodge (father), sandy lodge (mother), and older sister Leeanne moved out to their acreage by Alberta Beach (west of the big city). At that time Chad took time to settle into his new country home while attending school at Onaway Jr. Sr. high school. Knowing Chad's childhood influences were Merle Haggard and Garth Brooks his grandpa (William Wilson lodge) bought Chad his first Garth brooks CD. In 1994 Chad started surprising people with his amazing voice. New to the world of country music Chad's family supported him in everyway possible. In 1997 when Chad was 17 he sang for his schools fashion show as well as Onaway's big music festival picnic in the park at elks park. In that same year Chad also played at Laramie's saloon, GJ's annual Country Jamboree, Klondike days in there 12th Annual Youth talent quest, Onaway hotel. Chad says one of his most memorable times in 97' was when Onaway had its ladies night out performances. That night Chad really made a name for himself in country music when he was lead guitarist for Lisa Brokop and also Ian Tyson. Backing Chad was Brain Shaboda and Jim lodge on guitars. That night Chad sang several song such as Cherokee boogie, Don't Rock the Juke Box, and raining in my heart. Shortly after that Chad was invited to sing at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. In 1998 Chad graduated from Onaway and learned how to play guitar (takamine) and ever since he's never put it down. With his guitar in his hand Chad's song writing ability is the best around. Chad was getting it done, with his family by his side Chad was making a go of his country music dream. In January of 98' Chad won 2nd place in a sing competition at Mustang Saloon night club. In 1999 Chad recorded his first indie recording with I.D.R. Recordings featuring his #1 hit singles Better-Nicer place to be, and Every time we say good-bye. In 2002 Chad was in invited to play at big valley jamboree with his band Laredo. In 2003 they were invited to come back and play at the beer gardens. Chad and his band Laredo went to brain dead studios and brought a demo CD called I don't want to. Shortly after that Chad's band split up just about crushing Chad's hope for being a country singer. As all country singers go through there tough times. Chad took a fall but got right back out there nothing will stand in the way a of young boys dreams. So Chad got together with a new band which is made up of his dad Jim lodge on bass guitar, Mitch McGaughey on drums, Rocco Macri on lead, Darcy McDonald on keyboards, Ellie McGaughey on back ground vocals. Chad and his band played at the Rainmaker rodeo in St.Albert, and Canada Day in Camrose. What Chad likes to do on his free time when he's not pursuing his dream is going fishing, go camping, designing web pages, building things such as houses, decks, etc., spending time with his family, and trying to get a good night sleep. Chad is on way to fame, but like every country singer he works hard to pursue his dream. One thing about Chad is he's not in it for the money but when he's on stage he's there for the fans and to make new friends on his way to fame, they help make his dream come true. On September 3, 2006 in Canmore Alberta at the Festival Tent in Centennial Park Chad preformed with The Edmonton & District Pipe Band. He was Also backed up by his new band (The Chad Lodge Band) as they played Ireland, Waly Waly, and Chad's new single (Are You Lonesome) will be released at the end of the year on radio (Watch out Folks this tune will blow your mind). The crowed was screaming for him to stay on stage and keep the tent a rocking. Chad & The Chad Lodge Band really knows how to put on a great show. Chad Lodge and The Chad Lodge Band were at Epic Sound Studios bright and early on September 16, 2006. They had the warm up track down in 3 takes, and then they started on their instrumental tracks. Within just a couple of hours they were ready to start the vocal tracks. Chad had the vocals nailed in just two takes. Within just 5 hours of recording Chad has his new single (Are You Lonesome) on recording. Chad has an amazing talent and with his band behind him this country singer is going to make it to the big times. Chad will be selling his new single on CD with in the next couple weeks. On November 23, 2006 Chad was invited to play for Voices for Hospices at the Winspear Centre . The first song Chad performed was newly recorded song Are You Lonesome. Which then followed into Waly Waly (Water is Wide - a 17th century song) which was also backed with the Edmonton Pipe Band. The fans roared with excitement on how amazing Chad's performance was of these two songs. Chad told his fans it was a real honor playing for them on this beautiful stage. Chad's heart is truly into sharing his talent with his fans. On February 19, 2007 Chad and Julian Austin sat down and did some Co-Writing. On Friday May 25,2007 Chad Performed live at St.Albert's Rainmaker Rodeo. That 2 years in a row they've welcomed Chad back to their stage, and by the sounds of it well see Chad there again in 2008.
