Bio
Thanks all who listened over the last few months when there was no bio and one Matisse-inspired doodle. I think I procrastinated because I really didn't know what to say about these songs or even why I wanted them to be 'out there' in any way. In the early seventies I was a gigging songwriter and performer and gave it up to join the 'real world'. I didn't pick up a guitar for over twenty years and found that when I did start song writing again I was essentially writing the songs I forgot to write when I was twenty:was love just romantic fiction? Where did I fit in? Why would I want to grow up anyway? and all the other adolescent confessional ponderings that had made Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Paul Simon and the rest, such an influence on my teenage years. Friends said even my voice hadn't changed that much in twenty years. But, that's the point really - there is a song here called 'Just like Huck Finn's blues' that highlights that dilemma: songs of innocence don't always lead to songs of experience - sometimes with experience we lose our voice. I think those questions we asked when we were young never really get answered - and I am just enjoying asking them again. Well, I hope you like these songs and thanks for reading this. Good luck with your own music making. Kim
