Bio
Ron Kohler Singer/Songwriter Ron is a Colorado native. Born on June 3 1958 he learned to play drums at the age of 6 with his father's band The Jolly Dutchman a local Denver Polka Band. He then went on to continue his education at Northglenn High School and Graduated in 1976 while in school he played set drums in both of the Jazz ensembles, The Northern Lights Vocal Ensemble. and played Tympani and mallet instruments with the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. In 1973 he toured Europe with the Jazz Ensemble as well as touring several western states. During this time he also played with The Queen City Jazz Band as well as several Denver area Polka and Traditional German Music bands. During the late 1970's and 1980's playing with several Denver area Rock and Heavy Metal bands while learning to play guitar and writing original music. For more then 40 years he has traveled the western and southern part of the country playing with different bands a wide variety of styles including Rock, Country, Dixie Land Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Heavy Metal Rock, and Traditional Ethnic Music. He is currently performing Folk and Country Rock as a solo performer on guitar and is still writing his own music. Ron currently resides in Empire , Colorado and is looking to work and collaborate with and perform with local and regional musicians.
