Victoria Martin is known to many as...... The One Who Sings !!! this title was given to Victoria at the tender age of six, All through preschool and Kindergarten, Victoria would sing jingles and songs she heard on the radio and T.V. Commercials. She LOVED to sing. Victoria was encouraged to sing by her grandmother Daisy and her Aunt Marie. Victoria would sing for anyone without even an ounce of intimidation. She began singing in church and states her favorite songs are spiritual church Songs. Victoria was always seen smiling. This began the development of a beautiful personality and a talented Singer. By the age of eight she won a State wide writing competition. The recognition and the experience helped to develop her into a great motivating writer. Victoria Can write to almost ANYTHING And MAKE IT SOUND GREAT!!! Even as a child, Victoria had a strong, sharp voice. Her style began to develop as a young girl. The strength, the tone, and distinctive growl-like sound was described by many as a SOUL STIRRING VOICE. These characteristics made her voice stand out and be appreciated by many. While elevating through elementary school, Victoria was admired and encouraged by her music teacher, Mrs. Barton, to never stop singing or writing. MUSIC WAS TO BE THE PATH VICTORIA WAS DESTINED FOR!!!! With a beautiful smile, Wonderful personality and A STRONG VOCAL ABILITY!!!! Victoria began to get the attention of MANY ... By the AGE of 17.... Victoria found out what it was like to HAVE FANS!!!! She entered many local talent shows, after winning them Unanimously, she then began to make her mark. It was then, Victoria realized the power in her voice. She had the ability to make people cry, smile and even win the hearts with her VOICE !!!! Soon.....Many requests came pouring in for her to make special appearances in many programs, cable shows, Fashion shows and Comedy shows etc. It was not long after, she began travelling locally and out of state SINGING AND MAKING A BIG NOISE IN THE INDUSTRY !!!! Victoria continues to achieve Wonderful things as a singer, a Writer and a performer. This Brown skin, Soul stirring, 4'11, song perfecting, 160lb (SMILE!!! yup THATS WHAT SHE SAID AND STILL LOOSING - LAUGH!!) bomb shell CAN NOT BE ignored. She has worked with REALLY TALENTED WRITERS AND AS YOU WILL HEAR FROM THE MUSIC SHE SINGS!!!! SHE HAS A WAY ... OF MAKING EVERY SONG SHE SING!!! FEEL SO GOOD!!!! SHE BRINGS THE SONGS TO LIFE, IN A WAY..... ONE CAN ONLY DESCRIBE AS...... BREATHTAKING !!!!! Victoria continues to make a BIG mark on the industry and is DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!!! As her fan base continues to grow, Victoria has committed herself to making GOOD music for all to love and enjoy. Victoria would like to one day own and open up a homeless shelter, she would call, “Victoria’s place” she also would like to open up a Daycare/Learning Center and call it “Victoria’s Piece Of Heaven” and LASTLY own a restaurant and call it “Victoria's Home.” When asked who inspired her, Victoria responded, “I love and appreciate all kinds of music and many artist. I am inspired by Artist who Can REALLY SING, like myself...... To name a few ...... Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Holiday, Kelly Price, Jennifer Hudson, Patty Label, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Celion Dion..... singers with powerful, yet moving voices. There are so many more but that is just to name a few. These singers can give you GOOSE BUMPS whenever they sing!!! that is ME!!! Those are the singers that inspire me.... Those are the singers that keep me on my feet. I have to be able to keep up with them, so I am always pushing myself even harder. I guess that is why I am truly inspired by them." Victoria’s hobbies are shopping, cooking, cleaning, writing, sewing, hanging out with family, going to the movies and talking to long time friends Shay-Shay, Tonia, Lynn and Tracey. When asked, what Victoria would like the world to remember her as, she replied, " I want the world to remember me as a STRONG WOMAN who NEVER gave up!!! Despite the obstacle that I have faced, I am STILL MOTIVATED AND PUSHING TOWARD MY DREAMS. I want the world to see the REAL me.... the Beauty inside me, not just outside... I am a GREAT PERSON, a GOD FEARING person and I have so much love inside me. I want people to ALWAYS APPRECIATE MY MUSIC and MY GIFT .... I don't mind being compared to others but I want others to also know...there is a difference that ONLY I CAN CONTRIBUTE to the music industry. Most importantly I want to be remembered the same way I came into this life.... I was called..... The One who Sings!!! I want people to remember ME JUST AS THAT.... (SMILE!!)
