[indent]It all started in the summer of 1990 with a newspaper ad that read "Wanted: Gospel singing men." After months of auditions, hours of rehearsals, and constant prayers, the search was over. Performing their own orginal songs and music, the Uplifters presnts a dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary material. Their album "Depending On You" which was just recorded in March 1999, and is on Virginia Music Label which is a label founded by manager James Ricks(C.E.O.) The album has been making alot of noise in the industry with its message that is sending out to our audiences.The Uplifters has performed in various cities, and states, and there music has been on aired on a variety of radio stations. It has been a long hard climb to success, but when The Uplifters hits their first note to there last there is no question how they got their name.
