[b]Seymour Anthony Brown, II, also known by his stage name as The Jerseyman, is an amateur producer from Hollis, Queens, New York.
The Jerseyman was born on April 23, 1988 and is of Jamaican and Haitian descent. He moved to Germany in 1991 after his father joined the U.S. Army. After his parents divorced in 1992, he returned to New York City and stayed with his mother. He started beatboxing during 4th Grade going to to and coming from school, but he never knew how to take his beatboxing abilities and make into music.
Jerseyman learned how to play piano in 1999 and drums in 2002. It wasn't until 2006 when his girlfriend's brother showed him how to make beats and turn his imagination into reality. Jerseyman created his first 3 beats: "Hell" (Now Destined 4 Hell), "Nightstalker" (Now Street Stories) and "What Is Romance?"
After Joining the U.S. Army in 2007 and during his deployment in Iraq, He spent most of his free time making beats and trying to understand the basics of making beats. He still has the desire to learn more about his creations and will still continue to make his music to the best of his ability.
Jerseyman got his name from shopping at Jerseyman Cap USA, where they sell jerseys and fitted hats. Currently, Jerseyman's goal is to bring back hip hop the way it was in the 1980s and 1990s where hip hop made sense. He has made hit beats such as "Upgrade Your Weapons," "'Til The Gunz Come Out," "Let Our Voices Be Heard" and "N.S.T." He is currently Looking for any rappers and singers wit raw talent as well as producers who can help him improve. Jerseyman now resides in Queens Village, NY.
