Tabitha King is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina but now resides in the Atlanta area. Her soothing, sultry sound has mesmerized audiences all around the world. Entertaining and performing has always been her passion as well as her desire. Tabitha began her career at a very early age by singing in a church choir, at weddings, and various talent showcases and competitions throughout the years...After realizing that there was a great demand for her god given talent, she auditioned to sing the national anthem for NBA and became a highly sought after vocalist at several NBA games.
Tabitha relocated to Atlanta in November of 1994 to pursue her singing career. Upon the recommendation of friends, she sat in on an open mic performance with an accomplished trumpet known as"Milkshake", her vocal ability was soon to be made known throughout the Atlanta area among music enthusiast as well as established artist. Tabitha became a member of the "Milkshake Quintet” for more than five years before she join the hottest show band in city better known as "Fahrenheit. The group consisted of four very talented lead vocalists but it became very apparent very quickly that Tabitha was the true show stopper and crowd pleaser and became known to all that loved her talent as "Lady T".
In 1996, Tabitha signed on with LaFace records as a background vocalist for artist such as Outcast, The Goodie Mob, and Society of Soul which landed her a performance on Soul Train. In spring of 1997, she toured the Island of Palm De Mallorca, Barcelona and Madrid while singing with the Fifth Dimensions review. Upon returning to the states, Tabitha received a call from none other than Keith Sweat asking her to assist him on stage at the Atlanta Civic Center to sing his smash hit duet entitled "Nobody". She has since opened up for Regina Belle at the Crowe's Nest Megaplex in 2002 during her "Up Close and Personal Tour”. R&B recording star Ann Nesby of the Sounds of Blackness joined her on stage at the Club 20 Grand in College Park, Ga and Keith Washington requested her soothing vocals for "Candlelight and You " in the absence of Chante Moore. Ollie Woodson (Temptations), Pebo Bryson, and Usher are a few others that Tabitha has had the pleasure of singing with.
Tabitha King is an amazing, accomplished vocalist that has earned her right to stardom. Her ability to capture the audiences be it in the U.S. or in Europe shows that she has a very rare gift that only few can claim. Her enormous love for God, family, people and music is what she says keeps her grounded and gives her the ability to connect with her audiences. Tabitha doesn't have to go around wearing a t-shirt to show how great her faith is because it comes across so very strong in her music. Tabitha has now become one of the most highly sought after female vocalist in Atlanta and is very quickly becoming highly sought throughout the U.S. as well as internationally since the release of her self-entitled CD "Tabitha- Mind Games". Her debut CD is impacting radio stations throughout the U.S. and receiving rave reviews.
