Born in jacksonville florida in march 13, 1988 as Derico(rico)Turner, Born by parents of a father who was a sailor and a mother that was a Jacksonville/Atlanta native, by the time he hit three they had moved all around the world including Puerto Rico,Italy,Virginia, and even living in the Black Metropolitan city of Atlanta himself but being in north carolina his remaining teen years and Jacksonville on/off he's had made his way back to Jacksonville claiming that it is a city that hip-hop wise has not been put on the map,"You have rock bands that are from here led zeppelin fred durst from Limp Bizkit but Hip-hop wise who's big here nobody yet really! I mean Young Cash on his way but not quite,
so I hope to put some lyriscism on the scene"

Smart word play gritty hardcore lyricist is what most wouls describe ShurShot as but Already some say diamond in the ruff some say he steps up his lyricism and sty;e every song but too mnay an unknown hip-hop mc from the south! He Doesn't mentions guns in a homicidal aspect. he doesn't talk about the use of drugs except the use of Marijuana sometimes, but who to say you don't smoke it either? he doesn't have raunchy sexual lyrics towards women ! however his downfall in the end is only not having up to some monthes experience under his belt and his word play still being a bit jumpy and his obsessive use with the "N" word,"I use the "N" word a lot because growing up my society I grew up the neighborhoods I grew up in black kids all of us just use to say "nigga" cuz we were raised that way our parents used it our parents friends used it at the same it's because my grandparents used it being that Iam from the south and all and all the racism bein dealt with".
This is an artist who is dedicated to not getting money from music but to simply put a message and/or a topic in his songs that anybody from the streets to the corporate board room could relate to,He right now is jus looking for that style that can simply bring everybody to light of his style and lyrics and prescence.
