Born September 19, 1982 and I started rhyming in '96 but it was pretty much all freestyle battles. As I battled more and more, I became more and more serious about it. I became dedicated to rapping in about mid 97 and ever since I have been writing my lyrics and developing my style more and more.
I did my first recording in 98 but it wasn't anything major. I did it on a karaoke machine in order to hear how I would sound on tape. I let a few people hear it. I continued working on my style because I was determined to be in the music business.
I would say that 2000 was my year. I participated in about 30 free style battles and I won every battle that I entered. That is when people started talking and it has been on every since then.
In the past year, I have entered and have won more than 15 local rap contests and have written over 40 songs and recorded 4 albums 3 mixtapes and 1 solo " Real Stand Up ,Fake Lay Down" and in the process of putting together my 2 nd solo album "Enforcin Tha Rules" with local studios.
My family was very supportive of my career but my mom raised hell with me when I went and got my grill (8 golds) and had Shotgun tattooed down my forearm. She felt that it was not the professional thing to do. It would limit my job opportunities. I told her that with the career to which I am pursing is a career as a rapper and in that career field, it will not matter what is on my arm.
My life long goal is to be Jay-z successful but as far as short term goal, before the end of 2007 I want the name Shotgun to ring bells and car alarms state to state and block to block.
I have been in plenty of performance battles so my stage presence and experience is there. I am now looking to take that next step
