Rochelle was raised in church, but never took it seriously, Rochelle remembers, “It was a tradition, it was the place my parents and grandparents had instilled in us to go every Sunday.” But, after years of following “tradition” Rochelle finally found what she had been searching for all these years. In 1998 she found the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Being obedient to the Lord’s will, she gave up her dream of being an R&B artist... but, felt that God was urging her to continue her music, except she would be singing his praise.
She joined “Deliverance Temple Church of God in Christ” Pastored by Elder David Diggans and quickly became choir director as well as a member of the praise team. It wouldn’t be long before her dynamic voice would afford her the local recognition to be asked to sing at many gospel festivities from church anniversaries to opening songs for visiting ministers such as Joyce Myers to singing with Odis Richmond and Inner Court of Pine Bluff Arkansas.
[b]In 1999, Rochelle returned to New Mexico. The Lord would bless again in Rochelle’s life as she married her husband Stacy Chisolm. Rochelle has continued to minister in song throughout the years and is excited about her highly anticipated debut project expected out spring of 2010. “If only one person is won to Christ as a result of this album then it will all have been worth the years of struggle”
