Hello! From Cape Breton Island
My name is Bernie Mckenzie I am a 53 year old singer/songwriter from Canada I've been playing music for over 45 years,Played in rock bands in my younger years,after I was married I started to injoy all other types of music especilly blues and country rock
.
Now I enjoy to write and preform my music as a solo artist nothing on this earth gives me more pleasure than sitting on a stage with my favorite guitar(lucy) and entertain an audience.
My music comes form my life experiences mostly,than I spin them into whimicial tales,I tend to sing most of my songs in the first person so listeners can do the same.
Although some of my music reflects a lot of sadness somtimes it's just what I see in peoples eyes and hearts but for those that know me know that i'm the orgional Cape Breton mushroom....Just a (fungi)lol fun guy so hope you injoy.
Some of people who influnced me the most..Roy Orbeson'Neil Young,Pink Floyd,John Prine, Merl Haggard,Jimmy Buffet,of course Bruce Gouthro,Jimmy Rankin and a long list of others.
After Rasing My family I decided to take my retirement from my government job to follow my lifelong dream,so here I am 3 years later with over 200 songs (some of them even good...lol)
My songs on SYM is just me and my guitar on my home computer I don't know much about production but I'm learning so hope you injoy feel free to drop me a line anytime. all my music is protected by songwriters of Canada and For Sale......thanx Bernie
