My name is Russ Nottingham and I am one half of the duet called Early harvest. We do all original Christian music. I guess the best way to describe our music would probably be to take a little bit of the different styles of music that we grew up listening to such as, Bluegrass, a little modern Country, a little Southern Rock, Jazz and a whole lot of different kinds of Gospel/Christian. Then you mix it all together adding with it, the word of God along with a lot of fun and finally you have Early Harvest.
Although we are Christian musicians, we still believe in professionalism. We still like to entertain (in Christ) and we still want to make it a fun and exciting experience to be a part of one of our shows! But first and foremost and above all else, We want to introduce people from all walks of life, to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The way that we do this, is through our music. The words/lyrics were written from real life, personal experiences and situations, both good and bad, that most people can relate to in one way or another. But more importantly, the songs are also testimonies that tell how God has miraculously, always brought us through these things and experiences.
I spent many years out in the bar-rooms and nightclubs entertaining people for all the wrong reasons. Now I feel that it’s time to bring that same level of energy into my ministry, but only with a changed heart, in different places/venues, and for all the right reasons!
