J.L. Jackson a resident of the D.M.V,area adopted the name No Face because he didn't want to be labeled or identified by a single image. No Face intentions is to be unique and extraordinary as an artist.Unsure of what genre category he should fall in. NO Face love for music incline him to make his own beats, and evolve as a song writer. No Face has been a song writer since the age 13 following the rap industry. His initial influences were Heavy D, Eric b & Rakim, Gangstarr, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane Etc. As Hip Hop evolved, he grew with it. However,he feel that Hip Hop has lost it's way with today's commercial sound. "The industry is full of boasters and fabricated images instead of entertainers and story tellers. Hip Hop used to convey a message of positive movement",says No Face. Therefore, He calls himself the Hip Hop Resurrection with his display of message conveying writing.
In 1998 No Face collaborated with a group of associates who share the same interest of being a successful rap artists. They formed a group called Born In Sin. The name BIS was agreed because they wanted to open the ability to display each individual true image and not portray one life style for instance,"Thug Life". Although, as a writer
No Face may speak of that style as a part of his life at one time. His true desire was not to join the bandwagon of promoting negativity which are considered to be the reason for anarchy today.
Born In Sin was signed to MADD records recording Label in 1999-2000 when No Face was approach after a performing a hit song "In the back of the club". One of the executives asked what was needed to assist the group to be more established. Uneducated to the music industry, No Face was unable to answer that question. Since then, No Face was removed from the group because of creative differences.
Discourage but no out No face began to learn different music making tools then began to produce his own sound and style in 2003.
Without traditional training No Face began to produce and compose his own sound.
With his ole school bass and snare, No Face plans to introduce his self as extraordinaire from the rest with his display of creations.
