Da Lyricist exudes versatility, originality, and clever creativity in his work. His ability to tell stories in his lyrics is uncanny and in being able to do so he maintains the elements of old school rap while still presenting a new school flavor. Born and raised in Brooklyn to a Trinidadian father and Panamanian mother, Da Lyricist grew up listening to the musical sounds of the Caribbean. In his own music, which balances between up-tempo and melodramatic composition, the rapper reveals early childhood experiences and explores modern influences with a futuristic vision.
