THE DIFFERENCE

The Difference (formerly 4IIC) is a group known for their unique vocal styles and smooth harmonies and is one of the most sought after male vocal groups in the Hampton Roads Area and along the east coast. Their professional careers span over 35 years in the music business. Since their time together, they have performed at some the areas premier music events such as; the Hampton Jazz Festival’s after party at the Hampton Convention Center, The UMOJA Festival, and The Virginia Beach Soul Festival, and has just recently performed at the legendary Apollo Theater where they walked away as winners. They have also involved themselves in giving their talent and time back to their communities by performing at non-profit national awareness foundations such as; D.A.R.E, the Kidney Foundation, the Cancer “Walk for Life” marathons, and the Southeast Community Crime Watch Coalition sponsored, in part, by the Newport News Police Department. 4IIC has opened and performed with various recording artists and national performers such as; The Manhattans, Ray, Goodman & Brown, Melissa Morgan, Blue Magic, Chuck Jackson, Keith Sweat, Cherrelle, and many others. They have also performed with comedians Marc Curry, Cocoa Brown, Cool Bubba-Ice, and Sherri Sinclair. They released a commemorative single in honor of President Barack Obama entitled “Believe In Change.” This CD sold over 3,500 copies during it's promotional release.
They released “The Intro” on Harmony Records (Independent Label) containig all original songs wriiten and performed by the group, featuring Multi-Platinum Grammy Nominated Producer Bob Ebeling. Also featured on the cd is jazz saxophonist Brian Pinner, who wrote and plays on "Just Being Me." The CD is available on itunes,defjam digital, emusic, ebay, cdbaby and stores throughout the country.
